April 28: The Ins and Outs of Population Migration: Impacts on Service Delivery - Panel Discussion at UMSL
Join with others from 3-5 PM for an expert panel discussion on "The Ins and Outs of Population Migration: Impacts on Public, Nonprofit, and Governmental Service Delivery at the University of Missouri - STL, J.C.Penney Conference Center, Room 222.
Analysis of recent migration trends affirms that the population of the STL region continues its decades long decentralization. Which counties are losing population, and which are gaining? What is the source of the population growth, and where do St. Louisans go when they move away from the region? And what are the impacts of these population shifts on workforce development, education, social services, and governmental service delivery?
These questions will be addressed by the panelists David Laslo, UMSL Public Policy Research Center; James Duane, UMSL Regional Center for Education and Work; Mike Duncan, St. Louis County Department of Planning; John Oldani, Cooperating School Districts; and Russ Signorino, United Way of Greater St.Louis.
The seminar is free and open to the public. Participants may park in Lot C. You can view a campus map at www.umsl.edu/misc/Maps/north_campus.html.
