PLEASE URGE CONGRESSMAN JERRY COSTELLO TO CO-SPONSOR THE CLEAN WATER RESTORATION ACT (H.R. 2421)

The Bush administration is using some bad Supreme Court decisions to exclude
small streams and ³isolated² wetlands from Clean Water Act protections.  If
these waters are not protected, polluters can dump waste into them and
developers can pave them over without any Clean Water Act oversight.

This fall, Congress is likely to consider the Clean Water Restoration Act,
which would close these loopholes and restore clean water protections to all
the nation¹s waters.  This will be one of the most important clean water
votes in years.

But polluters and developers are working overtime to stop the Clean Water
Restoration Act.  We need Congressman Costello to stand up to them and
co-sponsor this critical bill.

So please act now.  Join us on September 26th for a national clean water
phone Congress Day.  Call Congressman Costello's office (202) 225-5661.  Tell the
receptionist that you want Congressman Costello to co-sponsor the Clean Water
Restoration Act, H.R. 2421.  Make sure you let them know that you live in
his district.  That¹s all you have to say.
