Richard,
Uninformed citizens allow unnecessary TIFs to be established and
abused. The big guys always figure out a way to get their
projects funded and free money is the FIRST avenue they look for.
The taxpayer needs to wake up and speak out before these things
are allowed to happen rather than just griping when they open a
tax bill.
Thanks for keeping us informed.

Richard,
Go ahead and use my full name.... Undeserved TIFs (and I
grant that in some cases they do make sense) have been a
hotbutton for me for years. Big guys get richer and the rest of
us pay for it.

Dear Friends of Stop158: Citizens for Smart
Growth:
Two Letters to the Editor in Wednesday's Monroe County Clarion
deserve your attention.
While the letters pertain to "Columbia Crossing,"
a proposed development in
the Columbia area, the comments and information are instructive
for us all.
